Check out the requirements. The same tests are ideal for a Homeowner wishing to ensure their property is Gas Safe and that it meets current standards. People often have the boiler serviced regularly, but what about the seldom used gas fire or is the gas pipe work in the house gas sound? The Health & Safety Executive, advises that all gas appliances and/or flues should be regularly maintained and a safety check carried out annually or at any other time if there is a safety doubt. These tests/reports can also be a good way to check out the heating system of a house you wish to purchase or could be a good selling point. No guarantees can be given to the quality etc of the heating system but you will know if its safe to use and meets current standards.
