In Part 2 I look at significant concepts from the course, demonstrated by a significant personality, technology and future issue. I have selected the folowing as I feel they are of particular importance, and had useful reference resources on the Web
Significant Personality from Module 2
I have selected Steve Jobs as the significant personality from Module 2. He is a good example of the character type that has had an impact on the computer industry. For want of a better phrase , he is the typical computer nerd. Despite this label he is charismatic and visionary.
Significant Technology from Module 3
For this section I have selected TCP/IP as it is the technology upon which the Internet is built, has proved so successful yet can now be seen as being out dated and perhaps approaching the end of it's natural lifespan.
Significant Issue for the Future
The Regulation Of Investigatory Powers Bill is an important contentious issue which will affect all of those who use the Internet in Britain, and as such was ideal material for this section.
