Timescales
In terms of gametime, every set of orders a player hands in to the Referee is for a game "week" consisting of 5 game "days". In real time several days or even weeks may have passed between these game weeks, especially during a long drawn out confrontation.
5 Game Days = 1 Game Week
4 Game Weeks = 1 Game Month
12 Game Months = 1 Game Year
Although in regular game time players will only usually be measuring in terms of days & weeks the Month and Year are neccesary to keep track of when new ships are available (we started in 2258 so there is much anticipation for the White Star in 2260!)
