Campaign Orders

Orders are written for the entire game week, hence each ship fleet and outpost can have up to 5 orders (or a single running or standing order). In order to help the referee/moderator keep track of things there needs to be a certain amount of bookeeping on the players part. The player needs to be clear on 1) where each fleet of ships is at the start of the week and the direction in which they are heading (in all likelyhood you will not see the destination on your part of the map at this stage), 2) what is being constructed where and how far along the construction is, especially if for instance a ship may be completed on day 3 of a week and then moves immediately on day 4 of the week.

Since orders are given for 5 "turns" in advance, unless a "standing order" of sorts has been established any moving fleets will generally ignore any outside activity (although you should be informed if a 20,000 point armarda has just flown past!)

Below is the format I prefer to use (each to their own though!)

Week/Day: You will probably end up with 5 sheets - WEEK x and days 1-5

Unit/Fleet/System: i.e.- "Scout Fleet 5" or "Epsilon system"

Current Location: Whatever system of measurement you are using. i.e.- "hex 3412", or "1 day toward minbar from tr'ess'na""

Orders: Whatever you are doing. i.e.- "move to brakir- secure & hold", or "build +100 points of omega destroyer". Orders are limited only by your imagination (and the ref!). There is also no reason why on day 1 you can't give a "running order" such as "move to xxxxx (which may take several days)" or "build +500 pts of omega destroyer over days 1-5".

Notes: Useful for any unusual orders or additional information
