Northumberland District

The Northumberland District is one of the Districts of the Northern Provincial Synod of the URC. The Churches within the District are listed below. Where it is known that a local URC has a home page on the World Wide Web, the link is included below.

Many United Reformed Church congregations work and worship in partnership with Christians of other traditions. The icon beneath each church name indicates which denominations worship there, and the date next to the icon is the year in which the church was founded (or sometimes it is the year it was constituted in its present form - when more than one date is given, this indicates both these items, or may indicate that the current church has been formed by the union of several past congregations - in any given case, you're better off contacting someone from that particular church to find out - unless it is somewhere that I have a personal connection with, I am unlikely to know).

The list of local URC's is under periodic review, and has been verified by reference to up-to-date information (e.g. the URC Yearbook, and announcements in Reform magazine, supplemented by personal observations). Even so, by the time you read it, there may have been changes which I do not know about. If you have corrections, or you can supply a picture of your Church (copyright permitting, of course!) please e-mail me with the details. Thank you to all who have already kindly supplied such information.
