Folkdancer 27 Owners Club

Not to be confused with the Morris Minor Owners Club... or the Morris Dancer's Club.

I think "Storm Petrel of Narnia" is a very good looking boat, I have owned her since February 2001.

She has a cut-away forefoot and a deep long keel. The deck steps upwards abaft the companionway, which gives a more spacious main cabin.

There is very little information to be found about this class, a Folkboat derivative, I hope to gather knowledge of these boats.
This is a photograph of "Storm Petrel of Narnia" in either Ilfracombe or St. Ives.

Here she is in excellent condition, but before I bought her she was neglected for about five years.

If you have any information please scan it and send it to me, Clarissa Vincent and I will add it to this site. I particularly want to see photographs of the interiors of other Folkdancer 27's. The more the better, I want to look into every nook and cranny. I'd particularly like to examine modifications to the systems aboard.

There is a Polish site about a Folkdancer 27 "Stimulans" which cruised the Balearics, Italy and the eastern Spanish coast. There are loads of photographs.

I have heard from a Folkdancer 27 owner in Belgium who has completely restored the boat. I await photos.

I would love to read cruising stories involving other Folkdancer 27's so please send me your links or emails without hesitation. I will eventually write some about mine too, lets see now, there's the wood burner installation and I'm building a wind vane self steering machine ...
