Under Construction This section is still in the throes of construction, not quite as finely crafted as it could be. Just consider it to be in its 5th year of beta tesing :)
Any tips to improve this section of The Abode are most welcome, click the @ to email me.

Everybody go wild for the latest addition to the Melomania section! Yes, that's right, that blue box you'll notice to your left scrolls through the latest UK music news from dotmusic. Have a play with it, see what the little circle-y things do, and gasp in awe and amasement as a new page loads :). The dotmusic ticker is a Java applet and may not work on all browsers.

The main part of this section is currently devoted to The Basement, a collection of articles culled from the pages of Record Collector and Making Music, profiling some of the dance worlds most noted protagonists. Some of the pages contain updates by myself, these are in no way definitive, anyone wishing to rewrite my updated sections into something which matches the quality of the articles (or just improves on my efforts) are quite welcome, submissions can be emailed to me via the Webmail page or the small spining @.

The rest of this section is just a couple of silly ideas which stuck:
XL Tops lists my favourite records from the XL Recordings label, it is a couple of years since I updated it but is still a good resource for anyone wishing to get the feel of the label and it's development.
606 Mix is me messing about with a silver box. The Roland TR-606 Drumatix drum machine was designed as a cheap backing tool for gutarists to practice to, it was never created for live performance, something which is obvious if you've ever tried to use one. The poor relation to its sister product the TB-303 Base Line, its features are often overlooked by many - that's mainly because it has so few. But now everyone can rest easy, I've given it a new purpose and its owners a goal, within this area you too could "convincingly" create the hits of today (well, 1996 ATM) on an eighteen year old drum machine. No, really.

Jumping Off is the Melomania links page, it needs a bit (a bit? HA!!) of work, but then nothings perfect.
