· 33 years - Change in Portugal. With popular support, the military began a revolution to overthrow the dictatorship in 1974. Soon after this, the bridge across the mouth of the river in Lisbon was renamed the Ponte Vinte-Cinco Abril. This translates as the '25th April Bridge' - the date of the revolution was 25th April 1974.
