7th November 2009 National Wildflower Centre The centre is still open for conferences and meetings. Although the award winning demonstration areas and visitor centre are now closed for the winter, there are still a few things going on! The Cornflower Cafe is open Mon to Fri. 10.am - 4.pm and offers delicious hot and cold meals, snacks and refreshments. October: 26th-30th. Half Term Activities. November: Fri 13th. Trip to Birkenhead Park By Bob Dutton KNOWSLEY FLOWER SHOW The eleventh Knowsley Flower Show took place this year on Sunday 9th August 2009, at Court Hey Park. Attracting 18,000 people, the Show was free and had something for everyone.The show is one of the largest free horticultural events in the North West and has something for everyone, with the floral marquee, garden trade stands with plants and garden furniture for sale. There were also falconry
displays, dog obedience displays in the main arena, live music and bands
as well as the huge craft marquee and lots of entertainment for all the
