Golf Competition 2004 24 members of the North Fylde area of the Civil Service Sports Council visited Garstang Golf Club on Thursday 2 September 2004 for the third annual golf competition. The organiser, Peter Grubb, was pleased with the full turn out which included a few new faces to the competition. Garstang was in reasonable condition, considering the recent wet weather and fortunately the day itself was sunny and warm. The leading scores in the stableford points competition were as follows: 1st Tony Collinge 37 points 2nd Peter Grubb 36 points 3rd Paul Dixon 35 points ACPO with Andy Lester, Craig McDermott and Craig Witham. The prize money for completing one of the par 3's in two shots was shared between Craig Witham, Tony Lynch, Alan Armstrong and Craig McDermott. All competitors expressed thanks to the North Fylde area of CSSC for providing financial support and looked forward to competing in the event in 2005. | ||
