CSSC Competitions

A large range of competitions is made available through the CSSC and these are published in the 'Leisure Scene' and on the internet.

North Fylde have a policy of assisting members of the right calibre in national events and all comers in local and regional events. Normally entry into national events is through regional success but in 'open' competition where allowed, North Fylde will assist with time off, entry fees, travel, subsistence and expenses whilst at the same time expecting members to have some financial input themselves.

All comers are encouraged to take part in the 'less expensive' local and regional competitions when entry fees, travel and in some cases, small allowances for subsistence are paid.

Members 'spotting' any competitions to which they are attracted should contact the secretary with a view to obtaining some financial support.

It should be clear that North Fylde will not consider claims for assistance after the event as this creates an open purse with no real control over funding. Members are advised that finances are not always possible though they generally are. It depends on the numbers involved.

* Members are asked to register with the organiser of the competition,

* Pay the entry fee (and anticipate having to pay themselves if funds are not available from the Area).

* Members should then inform the Area.

* After attending the event - where they should obtain proof of participation, members should only then claim financial support
