Crazzi Harri
First band/first gigs [1980] R'n'B covers band, in the style of George Thoroughgood
and The Destroyers, Dr. Feelgood, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Ry Cooder, Nine Below Zero
and ZZ Top. Bass Player/Organizer/Publisist.
Untitled.
Project band made up of former members of the punk band 'Not Sensibles'.
First pro-studio demo at Moonraker Studio, Manchester.
Session Bass Player.
Obviously Five Believers.
First band with real commercial potential. All original material in an
independent/pop style. Two pro-studio recordings at Fingerprint Studios.
Many good gigs including selling more tickets than Simply Red at the same venue
previously in the week! We parted due to the intervention of a poor management
strategy.
We did the work, he took the money! Result, personal tension. Excellent work
all-the-same. Bass Player/Graphic Stylist.
The Diving Ducks (I)
R'n'B covers band in the style of The Beat Farmers, Fabulous Thunderbirds,
Los Lobos also taking in classic material from Muddy Waters, Elmore James,
Bobby Blue Bland & Jimmy Rodgers.
Hundreds of pub gigs, a great life and lots of fun. Some recordings survive
including one 8 track demo. Some radio coverage. Bass Player/Organizer/
Publisist/PA Engineer.
The Des Horsfall Band
Head-Hunted by Des as a useful addition to his outfit we did a little recording
and lots of rehearsing but not much came of the work as he took off for Texas
in search of the illusive 'deal'.
Twelve months of writing with him and the devastating drummer 'Dave' (Spring?)
who would quite regularly disappear for a week or two while he went off to work
with ART Blakey an eye opener though. Bass Player.
The Diving Ducks (II)
Invited to return to a new line up of the Ducks was an opportunity not to miss.
Especially as they now had the wonderful Lindsey Smith on vocals. With other
additions such as Andy Proctor on Saxophone and Nik Cornall on keyboards the band
went on to do great things on the regular venue circuits and the many blues
festivals.
Formed in 1986 as the original line up they only gave up the name in 1999.
Pro Demo, gigs everywhere, radio coverage. Bass Player/Organizer/Publisist/
Recording and Live Engineer.
SAGE.
In some ways full circle. Sage was one of the only other two members of the
Not Sensibles 'not' present in the 'Untitled' band above. Must make a point of
working with Gaz Brown one day!
Very avant-guard, very creative and very good fun. All original material in a
Indi/Garage style many gigs including a couple of 'Battle Of The Bands'
events, festivals and showcases.
First Vinyl Single. Many demos and official releases. SEE LINKS PAGE FOR CURRENT
ELI RECORDS CONTACT Bass Player/Recording & Live Engineer/Marketing

Borderline.
This band came about due to the huge number of festivals, jam sessions other
events Nik Cornall (piano), Paul Wright (guitar) and I found ourselves
bumping into each other. A real 'Roadhouse' band that moved into other
bookings. All covers in an R'n'B/Country style. Bass Player/P A Engineer/
Publisist/Stylist
Stealer.
Again a Marsden/Wright invention this time covering a more broadly Rock oriented
set of covers by the likes of Bad Company, Free, Cream, Whitesnake and Thin Lizzy.
Demo and gigs. Bass Player/Publisist/P A Engineer/Marketing Consultant.
BOX.
Messers Mike Crain and Kelly Youds. Incredibly talented writers of original
material in unique style (Hybrid of soul/folk and country is as near as I could
place it). Many home demos and several good gigs in prominent venues.
Some radio coverage. Bass Player/Programmer/Producer/Engineer.
The Blue Fords.
A continuation of my association with Paul Wright. Cover material again but of a
sophisticated Jazz/Blues style i.e. Robbin Ford Band/Robert Cray.
Unfortunately short lived due to other commitments. Demo and gigs.
Bass Player/Publisist/Producer/Recording & Live Engineer.
Remedy.
Full on pop outfit AKA. Travis, Cooler Shaker, RadioHead, Guitar traditions with
keyboard colours.
Appointment by invitation to help out while they re-shuffled the line up.
Live gigs, most notably Manchester, Band On The Wall.
Guitar/Keyboards/Production Consultant.
Darkside.
All original Rock/Punk material in a high energy live act.
Recently ended my involvement due to other commitments. Some prominent gigs, two
CD Demos. Performances on keyboards, melody writer, PA engineer. artwork.
