Hoylake
& Meols CyberCafe Newsletter Mar 2000
Welcome to the first millenium edition of the Hoylake
& Meols CyberCafe Newsletter. In this we will be covering how the
CyberCafe is progressing and what we have planned for the months ahead.
Firstly we would like to announce that the CyberCafe
will be closed to under 13's on Friday Evenings after 8:00pm. This
will give local Teenagers unlimited access to the CyberCafe facilities
from 8:00 until 9:00pm and will hopefully attract more members to
the centre. Thursdays will remain unchanged. We have recently finished
our upgrade cycle which has included the addition of 16mb Voodoo Banshee's
to 5 machines and a much needed processor upgrade for Cyber 8. New
Multiplayer Games include Unreal Tournament and Quake 3. We have also
added a Nintendo 64 to the cafe area. Entry to the Cybercafe is now
30p. 20 minutes on the Internet is 60p, computer access 30p, and 20
minutes on the games consoles is 30p.
The CyberCafe as you may or may not be aware is run
by utilising a band of willing volunteers, however we are still in
need of assistance on Friday evenings. If you have your Friday evenings
free and would like to contribute as a volunteer then please contact
Pete Whitehouse or Dave McGarvie on 777-2140. We are also always in
need of more sponsorship, this can be through donations of hardware,
software, money or anything else that you feel may be useful to the
CyberCafe. If you would like to sponsor us or would like to know more
then we can be contacted on the phone number listed above, by FAX
(no:0151-777-2199) or via the sponsors page on this website.
