A. N. Groves was a well-to-do dentist who left luxury and wealth in England to preach the gospel in Bagdad, later in India. This pamphlet first published in 1825 was to have a profound influence on the life of George Müller, founder of the Bristol Orphanages. The subtitle reads, "The Consideration of Our Saviour's Precept, 'Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth' ". His memoir has recently been reprinted.
