Around two years ago I re-started a hobby which I used to take part in around 15 years ago. I used to fly radio controlled aircraft when I was at school and although never got very far in the hobby I always had a great interest in them. Having seen the radio controlled helicopters you can get now I decided to give that a try and am now totally hooked on them. I am a keen photographer and I'm always out and about with my Camera. Click on this link to go to my Photography web pages and image portfolio. These pages contain some of my favourite pictures and images taken locally and also from around the World. I also 'blog' for my local Evening Gazette Newspaper Website and publish some of pictures on that site each week. Click on the link to the left to find out more. I predominantly use a 10.1 megapixel Canon EOS 1DMkIII along with a 10.1 megapixel Canon EOS 400D with BG-E3 Grip. Lenses vary depending on the shooting situation and included a Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 EX DC HSM wide angle lens, Canon EF 24-105mm f4L IS USM standard zoom lens, Canon EF 70-200 f2.8L IS USM zoom lens, Canon EF 300mm f2.8L IS USM prime lens and Canon EF 600mm f4L IS USM prime lens. I also frequently use such items as Canon 1.4x II & 2.0x II Converters, Canon EF12 II & EF25 II Extension Tubes, Canon Speedlight 580EX Flash, Various Cokin/Kood filters. I support my equipment with a Manfrotto MagFibre Pro 055MFG Tripod or Manfrotto 190XPROB Tripod along with either a 466RC2 three way head or 486RC2 ball head. I also use a Manfrotto Monopod with 234 head. Finally I haul it all around in a Lowepro Mini Trekker AW or Lowepro Lens Trekker 600AW. |
