Kordak

Kordak is something of a mystery to those who know of him, many on Ganipres <View System> have heard his name but few know who he is or what he looks like. Some call him a terrorist, other a freedom fighter or an eco warrior. Most assume that because of his campaign against the polluting stilt cities and their exploiting crime bosses that he is most likely an Ithorian. Kordak has of course exploited this assumption by using an Ithorian proxy in meetings with outsiders.

Kordak is a lizard in search of answers and his current guerrilla war simply serves as a useful cover for his activities. In establishing the Green Fringe he established a system of independent cells, some of these cells do genuinely believe that they are fighting an eco war for the preservation of Ganipres, others are more savvy about the real aims that Kordak pursues.

The Green Fringe has its origins back in the days when Kordak worked for Crob Dalal the Gamch City crimelord. Kordak was a lieutenant and trusted enforcer, he hand picked and trained his own band of cut throats, much of his time was spent as an operative in the field tracking and destroying the competition. Preventing smugglers from establishing alternative landing points and trading arrangements that would circumvent the Gamch customs inspectorate. Harassment of local townships and destroying rival operations.

Kordak was a soldier with a cause, until Tanic Pul-Drom <View Character> single handily brought Crob Dalal’s criminal empire to a crashing end. The soldier in Kordak needed a cause to fight for and now that Crob’s lieutenants were squabbling over scraps, he had only two options. Fight for one of them or fight for himself. Rather than fight the pretenders to the criminal thrown directly, he chose to bide his time and strike as the opportunity presented itself. Almost by accident word started to get round about a group striking at the corruption of the cities and image of an eco warrior served as an excellent recruiting point.

Over the years the Kordak as pretended to be a green warrior, he still harbours desires to rule his own empire. However his own green message has also started to infect him, he is coming round to believing his own propaganda, and his close contact with several Ithorian Shaman may have something to do with this. Despite his previous prosecution of smugglers he now maintains several secret locations where the Green Fringe can deal with spacers and trade for supplies and weapons.

Using Kordak in Game
Kordak is a being who thrives on conflict, he is however no fool, he will render aid and perform seemingly selfless acts if he believes he will gain significant advantage from doing so. He is trying to cultivate a legend, and promote himself as a semi-mystical defender of the natural order.
