Obdar Kokure
Obdar Kokure is physically typical of his race, a small child
like body atop extra long legs give him the look of someone
standing in front of distorting mirror. Of course to Obdar
and the typical Ashuri, Humans looks squat and out of all
reasonable proportion. His dark hair is drawn back tightly
in a scalp lock that leads an impossible leanness to his childish
face.
Obdar has served his people all his life as a ranger fighting
to reserve the beauty of the natural Ashur and protect it
from the encroachment of poachers and game hunters. Smuggling
of Lurmox ivory from Ashur is a lucrative and illegal industry
and anything that is both lucrative and illegal sooner or
later comes to the attentions of the Hutts. In the last few
cycles Lurmox poaching has become an epidemic and organised
crime seams to be both on the rise on Ashur and behind this
problem.
Obdar and a small cadre of Ashur Rangers, now calling themselves
the Wardens, have chosen to go beyond their mandate. They
have no power to enforce law beyond their own system and have
on several occasions been the cause of incidents with other
law enforcers and representatives of the Bounty Hunters Guild.
The Wardens have chosen to protect their beloved Ashur by
pre-emptily striking at those they believe to be behind Ashur’s
current problems.
The Wardens are currently travelling the Hutt frontier seeking
information and conducting sting operations. While their methods
and results have been controversial or in some cases attributed
to other fringe groups, they do have a core of covert support
back on Ashur.
