Ergor
The Ergor's are a species of large porcine creatures, similar but much larger than the Gamorreans. In fact the similarity is so staking that several scholars have proposed that the Ergors are in fact the first discovered near-Gamorrean race. Unfortunately a detailed analysis of their home world, Erg II, would be required to confirm this assessment, its distance from the Core Worlds and the hostility of the planet itself makes this possibility unlikely in the near future.

Ergor culture is based upon a tribal hunter-gatherer society, they have no significant level of technology, limited to metal tools and ornamentation approximating Bronze Age civilisation. In stark contrast to the culture of warfare on Gamor, the harsh conditions of Erg II make cooperation between tribal groups a necessity and limited trade exists between rival groups.

Conditions on Erg II are certainly harsh. Much of the surface is swamp covered, punctuated with great cliffs and plateaus. The atmosphere is very thick, making visibility difficult, combined with nauseous mash gasses, sound is often the most valuable sense possessed by much of the wildlife.

As noted the Ergors appear much like over sized Gamoreans, though their posture is generally more stooped, their pig-like snouts are smaller more nose like than actual snouts. While stooped the average Ergor stands half again the height of a Gamorean, but twice as tall when fully erect.

The few Ergors that have left their home world are usually taken as slaves or enforcers for various crimelords with a need for muscle. While many consider that Ergors are little better than animals in terms of their intelligence this is a generalisation drawn from their similarity with Gamoreans. The truth this that though they lack the keen edge to their intellect possessed by more cerebral races Ergors are far from stupid brutes.

Hulking Brute - Large creature, double normal Wounds, +2 species bonus on Intimidate skill.
Thick Atmosphere Adaptation - -2 on all Str and Con related skill tests in thin atmospheres; poor eye sight: -2 on all visual perception tests; excellent hearing: +2 on all audio perception tests.
