Grappa
Native to Ganipres <View System>, this species suffers under the neglect of Hutt ambivalence. The Grappa grow no bigger than a human child and are often stooped, making them seam even shorter. They appear at first glance to be vaguely reptilian, covered in a tan coloured hide, but are in fact warm blooded mammals, their features are streamlined and they lack body hair. They are adapted for a semi-aquatic existence, hunting among the mangroves of Ganipres.

The Grappa are capable of fashioning their own tools, making spears, harpoons and small boats with which to navigate the mangroves and shallow seas. Some Grappa have been known to trade small items and adornments for food and supplies. Rumours persist that whole villages of Grappa are built upon great rafts in the deep areas of the swamp world.

Each Grappa tribe is organised around a central figure, this individual Grappa can be of any gender or age. The distinguishing feature of these leader shamans is that they practice a form of Force use. No tribe exists without such a figure, if there is no replacement for the existing leader of the tribe when it dies the tribe will disperse. Tribes that have multiple Force users quickly divide into separate tribes. If the interests of two tribes conflict it is the Force users that resolve the issue, by discussion or though challenge. Those Grappa that don't belong to a tribe usually live out their existence as little more than another predator on Ganipres often reverting to a feral instinct to survive.

A few of the Grappa have been taken from their natural habitat, usually as pets, they are capable of learning and adapting even so far as speaking Basic with reasonable fluency, though they can be extremely aggressive when cornered.

Claws - Grappa fingers end in short sharp claws that cause 1d6 damage in combat and give a +2 Climb bonus.
