Gand
The Gand are a quiet and enigmatic race from the Outer Rim
Territories. Evolved from an insectile heritage Gand society
is highly ordered and structured. Individuals must earn the
right to have an individual identity. The Gand also follow
their own religious codes which includes the preservation
of traditions and mystery. The Gand take particular exception
to anyone who tries to violate the sanctity of their bodies
medial examinations or scans.
Personality: Gand are often quiet and humble,
even the most accomplished of them down plays their achievements.
In Gand society an individual has no name or worth until he
earns it.
Physical Description: Gand evolution is believed
to have arisen from insectile stock, evidence in the form
of compound eyes and exoskeleton is as little as xenologists
have to work with as the Gand do not permit medical examinations.
The Gand stand slightly shorter than a Human and would seam
to be humanoid in basic structure. Exoskelital colouring varies
widely with sub-species.
Gand Homeworld: Gand, and ammonia atmosphered
world in the Outer Rim Territory.
Language: Gand speak their own language but
find speaking any other language extremely difficult (no vocal
cords as such). As a result Gand tend to wear special translator
voders that give them a quiet metallic rasping ‘voice’.

Adventures: Gand who leave their homeworld
and enter the galaxy at large usually do so to earn a name
for themselves. Many choose to follow career paths of the
soldier or scout and in fact the Gand have unique prestige
class available to them, the Gand Findsman (Alien Anthology,
p122-124).
Gand Species Traits
+2 Wisdom, -2 Charisma: Gand are often quiet observers,
they are soft spoken and painfully humble.
Gand base speed is 10meters.
Darkvision: Gand have large compound eyes giving them
excellent vision at night.
Exoskeleton: Gand are extremely resilient because of
the hard chitins exoskeletons, this gives them a natural DR
1 armour plating.
Automatic Languages: Gand, Gand cannot speak Basic
without a translator.
