Samuel Thomas Andrews said that he had a si ster but she died and that she was buried at Barry Cemetary followin g this up the only Elizabeth died in 1891(2)? before he was born. He said she died in 1900 and is buried at Merthyr Dyfan cemetary. Andrews -- Adamson
On 22nd instant at the Parish Church Cadoxton Barry, by the Rev. A E Couch curate, Mr Thomas Richard Andrews, foreman labourer, Forster Str eet, to Miss Mary Throwell Adamson, of Harvey Street, both of Cadoxton , Barry.
Marrage cert shows him to be a widower employed as a labourer of Forst er St Cadoxton Barry. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------
WHO WAS FIRST WIFE ????? Have no trace of her whatsoever
---------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------
1901 census shows Thomas Andrews, a labourer Navvy above ground, marr ied to Mary Threwell living at 5 Tynycae place, Llantrisant, Ystradyfodwg along with Samuel, son, and Job his brother.
The address of Tynycae Place Llantrisant did cause some questions in r egard to where the children resided etc. However it transpires that Ll antrisant was the parish containing the Rhondda and Tynycae Place is s till in situ but spelt Tynycai. Maybe it was spelt that way all along and just misread. Tynycae Place is in Penygraig, Rhondda and this fit s in with Ynyscynon Road and Trealw Road references.
However the birthdate shown here of 1844 does not match the age give n on the census of 63 which would make his birth as 1838 some six year s earlier.
The age given on 2nd marriage certificate in 1891 is 47 making dob 184 4
