Copy of email from Jim Gillard (jim.gillard1@btopenworld.com)spouse: >Wharton, George (1866 - 1930)I too have got my information on Job Andrews children from the Sarah H awkins Pitney Baptisms - Elizabeth was not there! I have assumed that elizabeth Ann Andrews was another of his children , born around 1866, but maybe not baptised in Pitney. I have found Elizabeth Ann Andrews by working back from my mothers bir th certificate. Her name was Gertrude Wharton and her parents were George wharton and Elizabeth Ann Andrews.
George and Elizabeth lived in 1 Albert Street, Mountain Ash at the tim e.(15/9/1902)
In 1901 George and Elizabeth were living in the same place with 4 chil dren.
At that time Elizabeths birthplace was given as langport, Somerset an d she was aged 34.
Moving back to 1981 George + Elizabeth were living in 5 Chancery Lane , Mountain Ash with only one child. Elizabeths place of birth was given as Somerset and was aged 25. Also living with them were Job Andrews aged 60 and his wife Susan age d 56 (both born in Somerset) My assumption was that Job + Susan were Elizabeths parents. (Their nam es tied up with the Pitney baptism names)
George + Elizabeth were married in 18/7/1889 registered in Pontypridd , Glamorgan. Their names were given as George Wharton aged 23 and Elizabeth Andrew s also 23. At the time of their marriage Elizabeth was living in Glyngwyn St, Mou ntain Ash. Her fathers name was givewn as Job Andrews
My omnly problem is that I cannot find Elizabeth in the 1881 census, t hough I have had the same problem with other ancestors.
Note from David Andrews
in 1871 shown as living in Huish Episcopi
in 1901 census Job Andrews was living at 5 Tynycae Place, Llantrisant , Ystradyfodwg with Robert Richards Andrews (his brother) Susan obviou sly having died in the ten years between
