If application developers testing under BTS wish to share databases
(rather than have their own individual copies) then the use of a DBCTL
(or full blown IMS DB/DC control region) with BTS running as a BMP
should be considered. This means that all database allocation will be
performed by the control (or DLI SAS) region.

Note that all PSBs used in this way must be defined in the IMS gen
although the use of a set of DOPT PSBs with renaming of the intended
PSB may have some merits.
