Welcome to the Lake District

Welcome to the heart of the Lake District of England. The Lakes boast some of the finest, and unspoiled, countryside in the whole of England.
There are many walks and endless beautiful scenery to enjoy in a relaxing atmosphere away from the pressures of normal daily life.
The picturesque Lake Windermere is within 10 minutes stroll away – offering outstanding beauty as well as peace and tranquillity as you get away from the hub-hub of city life.
From the lake you can take boat rides across the lake. There are places offering cycling and sailing. You can visit the steamboat museum, also close by. Of course there is the obvious activity of fell walking.
Welcome to your holiday home

Canon’s Craig, Bowness
English Tourist Board Rating for 2005/6 - Four Stars
Our house is a traditional Cumbrian home, built from Lakeland stone and is situated in a quiet road behind the main shopping area of Bowness. Visitors to the house only have a two minute walk to the shops and a mere ten minutes walk to Lake Windermere with its many attractions and facilities.
Like most Lakeland property, the house is deceptively 'roomy'. There are three substantial bedrooms that can sleep up to six people. All the rooms are recently carpeted. Lounge, hall and landing in 2001, bathroom all bedrooms in 2004/5 and all have modern furniture. There are many extras to ensure your stay is trouble free. A real home from home.
The Lounge

The lounge has comfortable furniture and is equipped with a remote controlled television, DVD player and a CD/stereo player for your enjoyment. The lounge has recently been carpeted, as have the stairs and landing to ensure continual high standards.
The kitchen

The fully fitted kitchen has a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, gas cooker, microwave and much more to make your holiday as trouble free as possible. The wooden flooring adds a feeling of originality and assists in the ease of maintenance.
The Utility Room
The utility room has been redecorated in 2005 and has an automatic washer, a dryer, elevated drying rack, radiator and a separate sink unit, with access to the rear of the property.
The Stairs and Landing
This area has been radically altered in the recent years. A new handrail has been added; a wall has been removed on the landing area to 'open up' the whole of the top of the stairs. Redecoration makes complete some imaginative changes.
The Bathroom
The Bathroom has a separate shower, bath, hand basin and toilet with completely tiled walls. A shaver socket is included above the sink with many other extras.
The bedrooms

There are three bedrooms: two doubles and a bunk-bedded room. The main room is spacious with a modern wood framed double bed and will accommodate a put-me-up and as such is ideal for a family room. There is a colour portable T.V. A cot is available in the house, when required. In the lilac room, there is a wrought iron bed adding to the simplicity of the décor. The children’s room has a bunk bed and is decorated in a pirate theme with sea-blue and sandy shore colours. Other artefacts complete the sea-shanty theme.

Garden
In the afternoon, one can sit on the bench in the front garden, watching the world go by.

Membership to the Low Wood Leisure complex is included in the price of the holiday booking. Details of facilities are available on the web site:
