The aim of spiritual counselling is to help us to come to know ourselves as whole and entire as we are, whether that is in the context of spiritual counselling, spiritual guidance or pastoral care.
Spiritual Counselling
The aim of spiritual counselling is to help you to connect with your own inner strength and wisdom, whatever your beliefs. In a safe space of complete acceptance, I aim to assist you in gaining clarity and peace, and in gathering the inner resources you may need to make the next step forward in your life. In addition to traditional counselling methods, silence, prayer, meditation, and visualisation may all form part of spiritual counselling, if they are appropriate to your needs and beliefs.
Spiritual Guidance
I can also help if you do not belong to a particular religion, or follow a specific spiritual path, but nonetheless feel there is a spiritual dimension to your life which you would like to explore. At your request, I will work with you, helping you to find ways to explore, experience and express your own path in a way which will enrich your life, both through specific practices and in every-day activities.
Pastoral Care
I am available to make one-off home or hospital visits to anyone who feels they are in need of support through a difficult time, such as a serious illness or bereavement.
I offer spiritual counselling in Lockerbie, Brampton and Carlisle and I am available throughout Annandale & Eskdale for pastoral care visits.
