I completed the two year training in Interfaith Ministry and spiritual counselling with the New Seminary UK, forerunner of The Interfaith Seminary, and was ordained in 1998. I completed the LifeRites Foundation course and became a registered LifeRites officiant in 1999. I abide by the Codes of Ethics of both of these organisations. I am a founder member of AIMS, the Association of interfaith Ministers and Spiritual Counsellors, the professional body for Interfaith Ministers, and am a trustee of The Interfaith Seminary. As part of my commitment to spirituality and healing, I have a passion for social, economic and environmental justice in both the 'developed' and 'developing' worlds. In addition to my work as an Interfaith Minister and stress management consultant, I work in community-based development education and am an Associate of the British Isles Chapter of the NCBI (National Coalition Building Institute). My spiritual path has meandered through Christianity, Buddhist meditation, feminist spirituality of various forms, Sufism and A Course In Miracles, but is now firmly rooted in Pagan religion and spiritual practice, largely in the Reclaiming tradition. I also continue to find deep inspiration and a sense of spiritual 'home' in the teachings of A Course In Miracles and Sufism, amongst many other traditions. A handful of my favourite poems on healing, spiritual practice and interfaith can be found here. I live with my partner and our two dogs in Dumfriesshire. |
