East Farndon had a National School, mixed, for 60 pupils. The average attendance was 40 pupils. Headmistress was Flora Plant. Boys from the village had the privilege of attending Clipston free school.

Letters were delivered on foot from Market Harborough at 8.30 and 4.30.
