European Confederation of Youth Club Organisations

ECYC is an international, non-governmental youth organisation (INGYO) and co-operates with other organisations and agencies related to youth and youth work.

ECYC is a member of the European Youth Forum. ECYC enjoys consultative status with the Council of Europe and with UNESCO.

ECYC member organisations are voluntary, professional, independent and developmental, based on a concept of equality regardless of ethnic background, creed, gender or class. They all work in the field of socio-cultural activities for young people and offer a broad programme.

Today, ECYC neighbourhood youth groups are part of a non-formal education network in Europe. It takes many forms with the essential focus on supporting young people to take responsibility to meet their own developmental needs.

Presently, ECYC has member organisations in the following countries:

Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, The Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Spain.
