St Mark

St Mark was the constant companion of
The Apostle Peter and accompanied him
on his missionary journeys. The first
gospel to be written was ascribed to
him and it is possibly based on his
recollection of St Peter’s teaching

The Font

This was donated by Mary Anne
Talbot and was reputed to have been
found in the river Tiber. The bowl is
Roman about 2000 years old but the
Plinth could be Etruscan some 500
years older
