St Mark
St Mark was the constant companion ofThe Apostle Peter and accompanied himon his missionary journeys. The firstgospel to be written was ascribed tohim and it is possibly based on his recollection of St Peter’s teaching
The carved figure of St Mark in the niche over the porch came from two semi-detached cottages in BournemouthSquare used as the townsfirst church
