Stephen Davis is a professional singer and teacher, living and working in the Midlands. He began conducting with Solihull Youth Choir, under the guidance of Stuart Gill who was then Inspector of Music in Solihull. He later studied conducting with Roy Wales and Jonathan Delmar at the Birmingham Conservatoire, as part of his degree course. He also conducts the St. Leonard’s Bach Choir and Orchestra, and the Creation Ensemble, and in September 2004 he is taking over as conductor of the Halesowen Choral Society |

Under his guidance, the Elmdon Choral Society has performed many of the major choral works including Messiah, Saul, Creation, Seasons and Elijah, as well as smaller scale works such as Faure Requiem and St. Nicolas. Stephen also works with other choirs as a guest conductor and vocal coach, as well as conducting amateur operatic performances. He is a member of Ex Cathedra and BBC Manchester’s Daily Service Singers |
