Wolseley 1300

This is our Wolseley 1300.

We bought it just before Christmas 2001
 

 

We have had various modifications fitted, including the pot drive shafts.

The work was carried out Barry and Richard Taylor of West Howe Trading Estate in Bournemouth.

We had a great deal of difficulty in getting these drive shafts, having had two different reconditioned sets supplied locally.  They were boxed as 1300, but the first set were about 4 inches too short (Mini) and the next set were about an inch or so too long (Allegro)

Trevor Jones from Dalrymple in Scotland came to our rescue.
I sent him a cheque late on Monday and they were with us on Wednesday morning.

That was about 18 hours and he lives about 500 miles away from us down here in Dorset.
He is very helpful and knowledgeable too.

We have an exhaust specially made and fitted by Maniflow of Salisbury

The engine is lubricated with TORCO synthetic oil supplied by CAM Auto Developments Ltd
