| In
the Balamb Garden Hallway near the Directory. Jack
tends to enter from the bottom of the screen on
either side of the divider. Jack has NO rare cards. |

| In
the Balamb Garden Hallway near the entrance to the
Cafetera or Dormitory. Appears randomly and is often
very difficult to find. |
| (#3) Diamond |
| In
front of the Directory in the Balamb Garden Hallway.
Diamond is actually a pair of female SeeD cadets.
They have NO rare cards. |
| (#4) Spade |
| On
the second floor next to the elevator. Spade is one
of the two people that normally hangs out in this
area. Spade has no rare cards. |
| (#5) Heart |
| On
the bridge. This is none other than Xu. She also
carries the Rare GF Card :: Carbuncle. |
| (#6) Joker |
| Inside
the Training Center. Joker apperas randomly, so he
isn't always easy to find. He has the Leviathan
Card and will upgrade your Battle Meter to
include the GF information if you defeat him. You
can challenge Joker at any time once you have beaten
Jack. |
| (#7) King |
| Finding
the King is a bit tougher. Speak with Nida on the
bridge and then visit the Infirmary and challenge
Dr. Kadowaki to a game. She will suggest that you'll
soon find King. Return to your dorm room and take a
nap (or several). King will appear while you're
sleeping. King carries the Gilgamesh Card. |

| After
encountering the UFO in all four locations, pilot
the Ragnarok to the plateau just north of Grandidi
Forest's Chocobo Forest. After walking around on
this plateau, you'll encounter the UFO again;
however, this time it's up close and personal. After
defeating it, watch it fly off into the background.
You'll receive an Aegis Amulet for winning this
battle. |
| Note:
Before moving
onward, you should equip on of your characters with
the ITEM command. In addition, you should have five
Elixers in your inventory. If not, use some of your
abilities from GFs to get more. |
| Now
return to Balamb and explore the area where Balamb
Garden was once positioned (Alcauld Plains). Here
you'll encounter the alien known as PuPu. The alien
will ask you for an Elixir. Use an Elixier on the
Alien, and it will continue to ask you for more
Elixirs. Give the PuPu a total of five Elixirs and
it will give you the PuPu card. You can fight the
alien if you want to win an Accelerator, however,
giving the PuPu Elixirs is the only way to get its
one-of-a-kind card. |

At
the beginning of the game, you can find the Queen of
Cards in Balamb near Balamb Station. She will remain
here until you either lose (or win) a rare card (any
level eight card or better) to/from her. Once this
requirement is fulfilled, speak with her and she'll
give you a hint as to her next destination, which
can be at one of the following eight placed around
the world : Balamb, Shumi Village, Dollet, Deling
City, Winhill, Esthar, F.H., and Lunar Gate.
The
Card Queen's quest takes place in the town of
Dollet. When speaking with her normally (using the X
button) while in Dollet, you'll notice a fourth
option, "About your artist father," that
hasn't been available in other cities. When you
choose this option, the Card Queen will ask you for
a specific card. The first card she requests is the
MiniMog Card. To advance the quest you must lose the
MiniMog Card to her in a card game. This enables her
father to create a new card that you can win from
someone elsewhere in the world. Cards created by her
father are all rare, and aren't available to you
unless you take on the Card Queen's quest.
Giving
the Card Queen what she request prompts her to move
to another region. Once again, you must chase her
around the world until she returns to Dollet and you
can give her the next card she requests. You must do
this five times to receive all the new rare cards.
Make sure you save often during this quest, because
it can become very frustrating.

| Note:
You can retrieve any of the five cards you are
required to give to the Card Queen from her little
brother in Dollet. He is the child living with the
artist one screen down from the Pub. As soon as you
give the Card Queen any of the five requested cards,
they are immediately transferred to the boy's
inventory. Any other cards lost to the Card Queen
must be won back from her in normal fashion. |
