Chocobos

Description

In Final Fantasy VIII their are small forests places around the world in which you may enter and call upon chocobos by means of blowing a whistle. Like most other Squaresoft games you can use these animals to ride upon just like you would a horse. Though in Final Fantasy VIII chocobos do not make as big of an appearance as they did in Final Fantasy VII.

 

Ragnarok

Description

The old-fashioned Final Fantasy airship was replaced in Final Fantasy VII for a rocket and now Square have went one step further and bring you a futuristic spaceship that takes the form of a dragon. Nifty huh.

 

Trains

Description

Train stations are places throughout the world of Final Fantasy VIII. If you wait at one of these stations long enough a train pulls up and you may hop aboard. Then all you need to do is sit back an enjoy the ride.

 

Cars

Description

Their are garages throughout Final Fantasy VIII where you may hire a car and drive anywhere you like in it. Same idea as the Buggy in Final Fantasy VII.
