Angel Air have released a compilation cd called "Mike Hurst - Producers Archives Volume 1" (SJPCD123)
Released 4th November 2002.
Mike has personally selected sixteen tracks from his work with Eddie Grant, Four Tops, and many more. The album features one track by Shakin' Stevens, "Never", which released as a single in 1977.
Volume Two is planned for release in 2003.

Shaky, still a big hit !

I don't know if you know this but, "Merry Christmas Everyone" was the 2nd MOST played (pubs/clubs) Christmas song of 2001, after "White Christmas" by Bing Crosby! Slade were 5th! (They had been number 1.)

Boys Forever

Shaky was featured on Boy Forever in the early hour of this morning. The Music Box production about male singers from the eighties, was broadcast on ITV, and featured about a minutes worth of footage including This Ole House video clips and extracts from a 1988 interview.

Shaky musician launches website

Anthony Thompson (one of Shaky's backing vocalists) has today launched his own official website anthonyrivers.com .
The site features a number of mp3 downloads including a sample of his debut single "Caroline, No" and some exclusive photos.

Two Albums Rereleased on CD

The seven stars have shared 100 weeks at number one

Chart-toppers from across six decades - from Pop Idol Will Young to The Shadow's Bruce Welch - got together for the launch the new edition of the bible for chart followers.

Spice Girl Mel B and former Slade star Noddy Holder also joined the get-together to toast the new version of the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles.

Shakin' Stevens, Petula Clark and ex-Steps singer Faye Tozer completed the gathering of number one singers, who had been in the chart for almost 2,000 weeks between them.

Shaky faces drink-drive charge

Pop singer Shakin' Stevens is facing a drink-drive charge after being arrested in the early hours of New Year's Day. Shaky was charged under his real name of Michael Barratt and was bailed by police to appear before Forest of Dean magistrates on 16 January.
