Fire released on CD

Shaky's 1978 flipside "Fire" makes its long awaited cd debut and part of a Bruce Springsteen covers album titled "If I Were the Boss: the Songs of Bruce Springsteen" on the Castle label.

Now Listen Fans Celebration Party

Shaky fans got together to celebrate the launch of Shaky's forthcoming album "Now Listen" on November 25th.  Dean Memphis and Ricky Aron got the party in full swing with the stunning live performances covering many Shaky numbers.
DJ and organizer Paul Wallace was very pleased with the response and hopes to organizer another party next year.

Danish / UK Tour 2007

November 2006

Shaky has just completed a well received mini tour of Denmark and England.  The mood amongst the fans was lifted as the new set gave fans a insight in to what to expect from the new album.  The titled track and single "Now Listen" proved very popular with ever everyone up and rockin'.

Shaky turns on Bristol Christmas Lights 

Saturday 18th November 2006

 

Shaky was at St Nicholas Market, Bristol to switch on the Christmas lights prior to his concert at Colston Hall on November 18th.

Rockabilly band TopKatz got everyone in the mood, closing the set with their own rendition of Hot Dog before Shaky made his appearance in front of his adoring fans and locals.

The long awaited release of Shaky's new single and album "Now Listen" has sadly been postponed until next year.

Radio promotions

21st August 2006

Shaky kicked off his radio promotion for his new single and album "Now Listen" with an appearance on BBC Radio 2.  Shaky was interviewed by Stuart Maconie on the Chris Evans Drive Time Show.
Some other radio shows also played the album track "Somewhere In The Night".

 


2006 UK Tour

November 2006

Following his Danish Tour, Shaky will return to England for a mini UK tour in mid-November.

1st Speptember 2006

Blossom Rock Publishing LTD in association with the Daily Mirror will be releasing a new Shaky Calendar in August for 2007.

New Single & Album

Monday 18th September 2006

Shaky announced today (June 23rd) live on BBC Radio Wales that his new album "Now Listen" will be released in September (the 18th he believed), with a brand new single coming out a few weeks earlier.  In the interview, Shaky also confirmed he has lost three members of his band and is looking for replacements.

 


Swansea Concert - Live Radio broadcast

Sunday 23th July 2006

Shaky topped the bill at the Big Buzz concert on Sunday.
He performed in front of approximately 5000 spectators on a sweltering day at the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea.  The show was broadcast live by BBC Radio Wales, and his 35 minute set featured the forthcoming single "Now Listen"

Fans Party 2006

Shaky fans headed to Edinburgh on June 17th for a party in a celebration of his music. 
There was plenty of Shaky music and footage on the big screen.  The event raised over £300 for a children's hospital in Edinburgh.

Shaky performace at Cardiff for 6 Nations match

Shaky was invited to perform at the interval of the Six Nations Wales v France rugby match on Match 18th.  In front of a packed Millennium Stadium, Cardiff (approximately 75,000 spectators) Shaky performed a song called "Now Listen".
Unfortunately the BBC were more interested in the half time analysis than Shaky's performance, but he could briefly be heard in the background.

You might have caught Shaky on TV supporting Wales a 40 second promotional advert for the 6 Nations rugby tournament on BBC Wales.
Filmed outside Twickenham railway station, passersby are seen dancing as Shaky, drummer Howard Tibble, and guitarist Darren Loveday busk to the classic "I've Got My Mind Set On You"
The advert was aired between January 25th and February 4th.

The Fans Shaky Birthday Party

Shaky fans join together for a party in Brentford, London, in celebration of Shaky's birthday on March 4th.  
The party featured a live set from the popular Ricky Aron, and there was plenty of Shaky music too.

The Collection (German release)

Friday 17th Febuary 2006 

Following the success of Shakin' Stevens - "The Collection" dvd/cd package in the UK, Sony BMG are to release the album in  Germany on February 17th.
