Annual Family Fun Day - There was lots to do and see. There were a wide variety of stalls, children's and grown-ups' entertainment both within and outside the church. The highlight was the "Teddies Tower Terror" where many intrepid Tring teddies and other animals descended from the church tower on a rope and each received a certificate of survival as a recognition of their bravery. This year's Heritage Award Scheme prize was presented to Freddie Witherden from Tring School for his work in creating a dynamic website which links Tring Learning Centre and Tring School Campus with the whole world. The second Pageant entitled "Tales of Old Tring" was performed on two successive nights to audiences in the packed church of St Peter and St Paul, Tring. Devised and produced by Grahame Senior the people of Tring were treated to the history of the town from Roman times, through the present, and speculatively, into the future. Memorable performances by the Tring Choral Society directed by Colin Stevens and by children from Tring schools dramatically brought to life the way Tring people lived from ancient times.
