Adders

I find it very interesting to witness the different personalities. Certain Adders will flee at the slightest hint off my presence. Others will not move from a favorite sunny spot for anything (these are the easiest to photograph.) .

 

I find if you approach carefully and keep low to the ground (It takes confidence to crawl along the ground where you know there are a lot of Adders).

Then the majority of Adders are more curious of you than scared, and you can get some great shot of tongue flicking as they try to work out what’s going on.
