	Cross-section of turret. Showing the lower ventilation slots in the rear of the bunker.These were necessary to allow air back in to the turret after the enormous vacuum of the gun firing sucked all the air out! The lower set of slots were blocked off and turned into firing ports for close defense of the bunker after the Normandy invasion.
