A new Dodge Viper has been planned for the year 2002 it is a total new shape and
all the specs on the car will also so be different the Viper could also have a
new engine a V8 but we hope not because for us the current 10 cylinder engine is
much like a part of Viper folklore as a V12 is to a Lamborghini.
More than a decade after the original RT/10 concept was unveiled and seven
years after the debut of the GTS concept, the 2000 North American International
auto show in Detroit again rattles with excitement. Chrysler took the wraps off
a street legal, Le Mans endurance race inspired concept car, the Dodge Viper
GTSR. The Dodge Viper GTSR concept keeps the spaceframe, aluminium suspension,
hopefully the 8 litre aluminium V10 engine and high performance six speed manual
gearbox now used in the current Viper, which is the undisputed ultimate American
sports car. Like the race version, the engine is now dry sumped and delivers
500bhp, up 50 from the standard Viper GTS engine.
There is also a new RT/10 Viper Planned for August 2002 which also has
radical new changes like the GTSR Viper, it will have the same engine as the
2002 GTSR infect the only thing that will be different is that the RT/10 is
still a convertible were the GTSR is a coupe.

This
amazing new RT/10 Roadster is Chapter 3 of the vipers story. Dodge takes extreme
performance further than Dodge has ever taken it before. This Viper will start
production in 2002 the new Viper will rise the performance bar to a place it has
never been before. The Viper will become the only production car in the world to
develop at least 500bhp, 500ib feet of torque and features an engine with more
than 500 cubic inches of displacement. Its rap in a design which was inspired by
the Dodge Viper GTSR concept car that was unveiled at the 2000 American
International Motor Show in Detroit. The best car in the world
today with no exception nothing comes close in terms of performance, looks,
speed, etc, It is unique which is why its my favourite car in the whole world it
looks like nothing in this world which is why this car is so special. Lets hope
that Chrysler can keep up the good work on this impressive sport car in road and
race trim.
 The
new Viper RT-10 is certainly a winning number. The lines may have changed, but
the point is the same. The new Viper is as deep down mad, bad and wild to drive
as the old one. It's lower and lighter, with an 8.3-litre, 500bhp V10 engine.
and although official figures aren't out yet, 0-60mph acceleration is likely to
be under four seconds. The basic Viper principles of obscene performance and
outrageous design that make it the ultimate American sports car are still there
in abundance.
