Circulation

The circulatory system is of extraordinary importance in the maintenance and improvement of health. All organs and tissues of the body need a good flow of blood to supply oxygen and nutrients. Without these, function is impaired and full health and vigour cannot be achieved.

Common signs of poor blood circulation are cold hands and feet, a blue tinge to the skin, exaggerated sensitivity to the cold, and the improvement of symptoms with warmth and movement.

Many conditions will respond to a circulatory stimulant, if some of the above signs are present. These include stiff and painful joints and muscles, headaches, fatigue, indigestion, neuralgia and varicose veins.

Selection of Formulae

If feeling especially cold, and the stomach is robust, then a heating circulatory stimulant will be beneficial.

For a more sensitive constitution then the gentle Maidenhair Compound should be selected.

If varicose veins or thread veins are a problem, then Hamamelis and Aesculus Compound is recommended.

Recommended Dose

Dose: 2-3ml, 3 times daily.
