Mini Utility Register web page.

Finally updated, Oct 1998.

The Mini utilities, 'the dependable duo' to quote BL advertising, or to be exact, the Van and the Pick up, were made to satisfy the need of small business, or handyman or farmer. The list goes on.
The van was introduced in 1960, with the pickup following on in 1961 (being more of a departure from what was being built already, as the van is based on the already in production countryman estate.
Both were discontinued in 1980, and have generally become rarer than contemporary mini's of other types due to being abused during their working lives.

I run the National Mini Owners club Utility register. It's a thing that enables you to show off your vehicle in the club's quarterly magazine, ask for odd parts, advertise spares you may not want, and is generally the area for utility mini stuff within the club.
To join the club send an SAE to
