Hard to believe, but Jake is eight.

On the morning of January 31st – instead of pacing up and down in the maternity room – I was fooling around on the guitar, experimenting with a couple of chord changes I liked the sound of. Early in the afternoon I found that Charlie had given birth just before midday, so I began work in earnest on Kiera’s Tune. Here is a first draft. (Right click and Save As... to your hard drive if you want to keep a copy.) For those who are interested, it’s in Open-G tuning – DGDGBD.

Here is Keira at two weeks, home again and as fit as a fiddle. On her release from hospital, she weighed 5lb 15oz.

And here she is at one week – back in hospital having light therapy for jaundice.

Here, on the day she was born, 31 January, 2008, is Keira Annie Violet Tyler – born at 11.55, weighing 6st 8lb and 52cm long.

At even longer last here are pics of Leah at four years old, and pics of Jake aged seven. And there’s another one on the way! Where will I find the time?!?

I know she’s three in a week’s time, but here at last are the pics of Leah at two and a half. At least I didn’t break the spell! I’ll leave her to explain...

Leah is one and a quarter...

The official updates will now only appear every six months! However, so much went on in June that HERE is a special page, which will hopefully include pictures from the Golden Jubilee street party where Jake lives, perhaps his holiday but for now, some pictures of his great-uncle John’s wedding day!

If he will stand still long enough, HERE is Jake in his new home at 21 months.

Sorry for the delay, anyone who’s been waiting for this, but HERE is Jake a year and three months, and HERE he is at a year and a half.

And HERE he is, feeling much better and surrounded by people, gifts – and jelly!

Jake has been coming on really well, crawling around all over the place and standing a lot, though he has yet to take his first proper steps. His first tooth has also just appeared – but I haven’t seen it yet as he won’t actually show it to us! Unfortunately, over the past week the poor boy has been suffering from his second bout of tonsillitis, so his birthday party has had to be postponed. But – for the record – HERE is Jake, feeling very sorry for himself, at ONE YEAR OLD!

It’s hard to believe but HERE is Jake at nine months.

And HERE is Jake – giving me my first smile – at three months. And for the record, he weighed 10lb 11½oz at 12 weeks.

HERE is Jake at two months old, and weighing in at 9lb 5½oz.

Difficult to believe, but HERE is Jake on the day he was due to be born, and already four weeks old!

A week old! Now he is either going to be Jake or Jacob. That’s probably our fault for having Charlie registered as Charlotte Lucy but calling her Lucy all through primary school. She decided to become Charlie at around 11. I still think of her as being Lucy. There. Clear as mud. So it looks like it might be Jacob known as Jake. Anyway, click HERE for the pictures.

Not only remarkable in terms of the technology involved, but probably the fastest I’ve ever done anything in my life!
