Welcome to my little site dedicated to my birdbox based in Orpington, Kent.

My interest in birds began in the spring of 2007, I had been watching springwatch on the BBC and was amazed by the images that were captured by the cameras situated within the birdboxes.

Being a bit of a techie geek, I instantly wanted my very own birdbox camera setup and proceded to search for pre-made options. Unfortuantly at this time most were unafforable so I embarked on a DIY mission and end up producing my own built to specification model.

Having compleated my box in the late spring, it remained empty through a wet and miserable summer followed by a rather wet uneventful winter.

But on the 02 January 2008 all this changed!!

I am pleased to anounce that a little Bluetit couple have taken a very keen interest in the box. There have even been signs that they are begining to collect nesting material and I hope that they are able to sucessfully nest and raise a brood.
