I
would like to share a selection of photographs of some pieces that I have
enjoyed creating. Please click onto the image to enlarge.

The
bowl on the wheel, is a commemorative item for a group of second-world-war
army veterans. They are Burma war veterans, and the bowl is a gift from my wife
Barbara and myself, to express our great admiration for their courage and fortitude,
both during and since those terrible years.
It is a millennium item, and I trust their memory will last another thousand
years. My father Richard (Bob) now deceased, was also
in Burma, Imphal and Kohima.

Beach
Scene, the pictures above show me working on a pot portraying a
beach landscape, showing a scene familiar to my family over many years, of
the beach at St Ives in Cornwall. This beautiful spot is in the landscape
of Cornwall, and it was my intention to capture in ceramic form, rather than
the abundance of watercolour and oil paintings, which are available. |
|
The
bowl with leaves,
shown opposite, was commissioned by a local environmental group.
It is intended
to reflect their concerns for the care and upkeep of the local tree population.

Opening
the Kiln,
I had been commissioned to produce some Bonsai bowls, bowls which are not readily
available (so I am informed) in this part of the UK. The bowls will be re-fired
to produce a Bronze/metallic effect finish.

Various
Bowls, these are three of my "relaxation thrown pieces, with
hand painted designs, they are not particularly significant, but represent
a great way to relax,
and enjoy the "throwing" experience. |
I'm here shaking
hands with Cllr Graham Morgan (left) during the opening of the Friends of
Court Hey Park Meeting Room. |

Picture of my Wife Barbara and father-in-Law Jack Lindo, Barbara is holding
Jack's Wonderfull book which has now gone into print detailing his early years
and the Burma War. |
