Who are you?

We all know the football chant "who are you, who are you?" and the older or more musically inclined will remember the song of the same name by the Who which had the classic line "Who the fuck are you?".

What's the point of this I hear you say? Well, both song are aimed at the Hearts fans in the front row of the Copeland Road rear stand in the section adjacent to the Falkirk fans in the Govan stand at the Scottish Cup Semi Final - what's your problem?

The lack of atmosphere at the game from the Hearts section, prior to the last few minutes was poor, to say the least. I don't know whether it was the opposition, venue of something else, but it didn't seem like a major cup semi final to me. It was good to see a few flags draped over the barriers separating front and rear stands, and I'm sure the Falkirk team got a lift to see the banners in the crowd. As far as I could see Hearts had 3 or 4 flags. Respect to Manchester Hearts and Broxburn Hearts in the Broomloan Stand and BXL (Brussels) Hearts in the Copeland Road Stand even though it only lasted until just after half time.

Here's my point. Why did the dickheads in the front row have to untie the flag and get a steward to remove it? So it blew up a couple of times and spoiled their view of the advertising hoardings! If you want to watch a football match with a perfect view all the time, get Sky TV and sit in your armchair!

Before anyone says who are the BXL Hearts, well there are at least 10 of them (they are also RWD Molenbeek fans) who come over to Scotland at least 5 times a season. Previous trips have included Aberdeen (a), Celtic (h & a), Dundee Utd (h& a), Hibs (h & a), Kilmarnock (h), all semi finals since the Airdrie 0-1 defeat, both cup finals, Slavia Prague (a), Liege (h & a), Athletico Madrid (h & a), Red Star Belgrade (h), Newcastle and Man City. For the Madrid away match one boy drove all the way there and back on his own arriving back in Brussels to start his work. Devotion all the way from Belgium.

A few will be making the trip over for the cup final against the huns at Parkhead like they did previously. They are Hearts daft and have spread our great name across the continent.

The BXL Hearts flag will be at the cup final so if you happen to be in the front row of the rear stand at Parkhead and a Belgium flag happens to blow up a few times, spare a thought to the expense and time these people make to watch the mighty Hearts and push it down without moaning.

Ideally those in the front row of the Copeland Road Rear Stand at the semi won't get tickets and will have to watch with perfect views on the TV.

Au Revoir for now
Franky Van Damme (BXL Hearts)
