Thursday 29th January
Picture this.the scene is set, cameras from STV and also( wait for it)
Futbol Mundial have made there way to Mussleburgh to watch the Hearts
train. The teams are picked for the normal daily game and read as follows:
Bibs:Rousset,Mcpherson,Locke,Naysmith,Hamilton,Fulton,Adam,Holmes
Non Bibs:Mckenzie,Ritchie,Pointon,Cameron,Salvatori,Mcann,Robertson,Flogel.
Pretty fair teams? You would think so!
Well what happened in the next 50 mins will go in history at Hearts
Football Club.Never has a team received such a hiding as the bib team
received this morning. At one point Billy Brown almost called a halt to it
all and was about to dish out runs when the gaffer stepped and allowed the
murderous act to continue.
The final score read: Non bibs 9 Bibs 2
After trainning they received a few unsavioury words from the management
and tropped of the field with their heads low and tail between their legs.
Away from the trainning it looks like Stevie Frail will be departing
Tynecastle for pastures new after he was given the all clear to speak to
Tranmere today.
My traveling partner will be sadly missed but hopefully he can return to
the form he had before his horrendous injury and finish his career on a
high. If anyone deserves a piece of good fortune he does.GOOD LUCK SHAGGY!
On the fashion accessory outlook Micky Cameron has decided to grow a
goatee and all we need now is Stevie Fulton to follow and Hearts will have
there very own 3 Muskateers:GONZOS,FATSOSandGRUMPSOS patrolling the middle
of the park at Tynecastle.
Tuesday 27th January
Feared the worst today but fortunatly found a decent a bit of ground at
Musselburgh for a good session.
As you have probably heard in David Weirs column in the Jambo is that the
old boys usually destroy the young boys (not true and far from it) as today
we showed once again that the young boys rule the trainning fields with a
7-5 victory.
The old boys moan and groan about having to many foreigners in their side
and they probably are right but who gives a damn.
Off tommorrow need the rest.
Monday 26th January
Boys arrive at trainning on a high after cup game and resulting draw but
are quickly brought back down to earth with a bang when no playable surface
can be found. So it is off to the Saughton track for a session with Bert
Logan(FAT BASTARD).After a warm up and few drills and a right few sprints
the coaching staff decide to have a handicapped 100m race(YeHa)
Split in to various sections and of various starting distances, the
finalists are decided.Neil Mcann,Myself,Colin Cameron,Kenny Milne,Gary
Locke,Gary Naysmith,David Murie,Scott Severin all contested the final.
Jose would have made it if he ran in straight line and not weaved from
side to side.Billy Brown said it had something to do from dodging tigers in
the jungle and that if he ran in a straight line he would be caught.Fair
point.
Neil Mcann won the final by a nose but the boys were a bit upset as he
crossed the line with Gary Nasmaith and Gary Locke but Bert decided as
Terry tan of scratch he won it.
GREAT DAY NOT!!!!!!!!!
