BRENDAN KEANEY
Director
Brendan Keaney started his career in dance as a freelance performer. He has since worked as a teacher, animateaur and more recently as an administrator. Immediately prior to joining Greenwich Dance Agency in 1996, Brendan was employed as the Dance Officer, with responsibility for Independent Dance, at the Arts Council of England. He has served as a judge on both the Hamlyn and Jerwood awards for choreographers and is a member of the Management Committee of Akademi.

Brendan is responsible for the strategic and artistic development of GDA. His job is to direct the artistic programme and business of Greenwich Dance Agency in order to fulfil the vision and long term strategic objectives of the organisation. This includes devising the programme of activity and planning future initiatives, promoting the organisation at senior level in order to build strong external relationships, networking with choreographers, artists, and staff in related organisations locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. As the most senior officer
within the organisation, Brendan has overall reponsiblity for GDA and reports directly to the GDA Board of Management.

HELEN SMART
General Manager
Helen Smart was Administrator for the Academy of Indian Dance (now Akademi) for four years before joining GDA in Summer 1997.

As General Manager Helen is responsible for the financial management, general administration and business affairs of GDA. Specifically this includes: managing and overseeing all aspects of GDA's finances, ensuring the smooth running of the organisation on a day to day basis, managing staff and personnel procedures and being responsible for the building and health and safety issues. She works closely with the Director to represent the organisation and develop its activities.
KATE MARSH
Co-ordinator
After graduating from Chicester Institute, Kate undertook an ACE traineeship with CanDoCo Dance Company for one year, then joined GDA in September 1997.

Kate is responsible for dealing with enquiries regarding the facilities at the Agency including the professional and community dance programmes. Other responsibilities the booking of rehearsal space, managing databases and generally ensuring that GDA members have access to any information or facilities required. Kate also provides administrative and marketing support and collates feedback from GDA's activities.

DAVID BALL
Part-time Co-ordinator
Trained at Laban Centre, David is a free-lance video cameraman and editor. Has worked for GDA in a variety of roles since 1996.

As Part-time Co-ordinator for GDA, David operates in the same capacity as Kate as well as overseeing the general maintenance of the building itself.

DEBBIE STEVENSON
Education Officer
Trained at Laban Centre and London College of Dance and Drama, Debbie Stevenson was previously Education Officer for Union Dance and a freelance dance in education practitioner.

Debbie joined GDA in April 1998 to implement a new Education Programme. The programme aims to provide local schools, colleges and other organisations with exciting opportunities to participate in high quality dance activities. It also aims to assist teachers in the delivery of dance as part of the national curriculum.

REGULAR SUPPORT STAFF: Shirani Perayerawar studied at Surrey University doing her work placement with GDA in Spring/Summer 1997. She has continued to work at GDA on a part-time basis assisting with administration and special projects.

Odina Nzegwu was previously the Co-ordinator of GDA before leaving to study Speech and Language Therapy. She continues to work evenings and weekends at GDA offering her usual high level of customer care.
