It's that time of year again! People coming back from their holidays and reviewing their cheesy dance record collections.
Joining No Limits, the Outhere Brothers and Baby D this year are the Venga Boys, DJ Jean and Alice Deejay.
PLEASE? On top of this you've got your usual cover-cum-remixes by the likes of Moloko and The Wiseguys - is this really as original as we can muster? Last year it was Sash and DJ Quicksilver - and I thought the fad was over.
How wrong can you be? One look at NOW 42 reveals 12 dance tracks out of 40 songs, compared with 6 from 1993's NOW 23. That's over a quarter of the album!
I think when people say the music industry has died they are wrong, it is just that the real talent isn't being given a chance to live.
I have nothing against dance music - in moderation! But please, don't keep poisoning our ear drums by buying so much samey, unoriginal, talentless rubbish.
Send me your thoughts and I'll print some of them here in the future.
