The Matrix is considered to be the first blockbuster of Keanu Reeves since Speed. It all starts when Neo, a computer hacker, is wanted by the police. Eventually he gets arrested, but he almost got away due to the help of a guy named Morpheus.

He got something to do with a thing called 'The Matrix'. Since Neo wants to find out what this 'Matrix' is, he tries to contact Morpheus. Eventually, he meets Morpheus. He tells Neo that 'The Matrix'is a dreamworld, implanted on humans by machines, which conquered world power due to A.I. (Artificial Intelligence). Morpheus wants Neo to join his team of freed humans, who aren't captured in the dreamworld called 'The Matrix'.

The machines are always looking out for these freed humans, cops are looking for them in the dreamworld, robots called 'squits' are searching in the real world. Morpheus believes that Neo is 'The One'. A prophet told him once this person would free all the human beings from the machines. The battle for freedom begins...

"The Matrix' may be a little difficult to understand at first, but after a while you'll understand everything. The story is brilliant, the specials effects (like shootings and martial arts fighting) are astonishing and the actors are great. Everybody should see this one. Beware of 'The Matrix'!
