Here's where we advise on the best on terrestrial TV and Radio. I bet I'm not the only one fed up of hearing about all the great new programs on Sky - and not being able to watch them.
NB: Sorry this page hasn't been updated recently, (I know you won't believe this, but...) as a Student I don't get much chance to watch much telly (other than the footy)!
Dream Team - Sky One, Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30pm and 11:00pm
South Park - Channel 4, Fridays 9:30pm
Top of the Pops - BBC 1, Fridays 7:30pm
The Bill - ITV, Whenever they can be bothered to show it
TFI Friday - Channel 4, Fridays 6:00pm
The Mark and Lard Show - BBC Radio 1, Mon - Fri 2:00pm
Regulars
I know what I said there at the top but this page hasn't been updated in so long and it's such a good programme it just had to go in here. See if you can spot the Producer's mates in the Cast and figure out the weeks that go missing from the storyline! So surreal and badly filmed it's brilliant. And as for the storylines...(!)
Not for the faint hearted or those of a nervous disposition. If you've never seen South Park before it's probably because you don't want to. Lurid 9-year-olds demonstrating new uses for every swear-word in the book (and then some), and being as politically incorrect as possible. Marvellous!
Everybody knows TOTP. As commercial as it is, is usually worth a look no matter what kind of music you like. There's always something for everyone. Unlike the Pepsi Chart, which is just crap.
OK so some of the storylines may be a little surreal but The Bill is one of those programs which you can sit down with a cup of tea and a biscuit and relax to for an hour. Since the extension of the program the storylines keep getting better (if a little laughable).
Again, you either love him or you hate him, but Chris Evans occasionally does and interesting interview, and it you're lucky it mught have a few laughs as well. Although recently there have been a lot of Dance, hip-hop, rap and r'n'b artists on it, it remains essentially an indie/rock programme.
It's all a matter of personal taste, but Mark and Lard are undoubtably the best Northern tosspots on the radio. Enjoy quality items such as Plant or Pants, and the totally different Pigment or Figment. Best bit though is always Mark Radcliffe's TV show, filmed live in front of a pre-recorded audience!
